WHY KRIGSMAN?
The community, the people, the energy, and most importantly, the sense of belonging. Krigsman is a place where I genuinely feel seen, heard, and valued. There’s no better feeling than walking through those doors and being greeted by a familiar, welcoming face, whether it’s someone at the front desk, management, an instructor, or simply someone else who shares the Krigsman space. There’s something so special about being surrounded by people who uplift, encourage, and inspire one another. Being part of the front desk team, I love having the opportunity to extend that same warmth and sense of belonging to everyone who walks through our doors. Krigsman has created an environment where I feel comfortable being myself, and that sense of connection is what makes it so much more than just a place to flow.
WHAT DOES THE HARD MEAN TO YOU?
“To me, “the hard” is learning to meet yourself where you are, even when that looks different from where you want to be. I've always found it easier to focus on what I could be doing more of rather than appreciating what I'm already doing, and I'm learning that strength isn't always about pushing harder. Sometimes it's about knowing when to slow down, listen to yourself, and give yourself grace.”

Krigsman is a place I can always turn to, no matter what I’m going through. It keeps me grounded, challenges me to stay humble, and reminds me of my own strength. When I walk in feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or unsure of myself, I know I’ll leave feeling more confident, clear-minded, and reassured. It’s a place where I can reconnect with myself and walk away feeling stronger, both mentally and physically.

After taking a Krigsman class, I’m reminded that I can. I can slow down, take an hour out of my day to be fully present, and allow my breath to guide me through each movement, one step at a time. It’s a reminder that I don’t always have to rush through life or have everything figured out. I leave feeling refreshed, physically strong, and mentally renewed, but above all, grateful. Grateful for the ability to move my body, to connect with myself, and to appreciate all that my mind and body are capable of.

A challenge I face is finding balance in my life. I love staying busy, setting goals, and giving my all to the people and things I care about, but sometimes I find myself putting so much energy into everything around me that I forget to make time for myself. I'm learning that balance doesn't mean doing everything perfectly or having it all figured out. It's about recognizing when to slow down, giving myself permission to rest, and understanding that taking care of myself is just as important as showing up for everything else. That's why I appreciate the time I get to spend at Krigsman, where I can set everything else aside for a little while and simply show up for myself.

If I weren’t afraid, I would embrace challenges rather than shy away from them. I think sometimes I get so caught up in the difficulty of something that I forget to appreciate the growth that comes from it. I would allow myself to step outside of my comfort zone more often, trust my ability to push through, and find pride in the process rather than just the outcome. I want to learn to see challenges not as obstacles holding me back, but as opportunities to discover what I’m truly capable of.
